Versatile in handiwork, he built himself a pipe organ of three keyboards and pedals with 55 registers. He conceived the project after he documented himself and studied organ building techniques of great organs in Italy, Germany, USA and worldwide. He managed to save up meagre monies every day until he was able to afford this construction, which took him three years to complete. This organ helped him study and refine his technique (see his manual on pedal technique), and formulate his theories, which he taught to generations of students. Today, after many years, this organ is still fully functioning and can be visited in his studio by appointment.
